personal This blogging thing gets a bit addictive after a while doesn’t it? Well, at least until you run out of stuff to say!
I’m trying to think of some kind of theme for my blogging. I’m sure you guys don’t want to constantly read about my day to day life! I’d like to put some regular posts up about my jewellery making, and hopefully some pictures too. I might even run a giveaway at some point. Maybe after I’ve made sarah’s red sparkly necklace I’ll do a blog giveaway on the next piece I fuse.
Any suggestions of things to blog about? Being “in social media” I feel I should have a list of things to talk about, but sadly, im lacking that.
Recently at work we had to change our email signatures, to bring them on brand. But one of the things I miss is my little quotes. I used to find inspirational sayings and quotes and have them as part of my email signature. I even had a few comments about them. I think the one that got the most comment was one of the Obama ones. I think it was the one about hope. I’ll have to dig it out. I’ve also kind of become a bit of a quote collector, at one point I even started a book, just somewhere to put the ones that really inspired me. That fell by the wayside. And people share quotes with me. My boss came into work one day and said the girl behind the desk at his hotel (he spends part of the week here, but lives in another part of the country) printed out a quote for him most stays

personal So this last Christmas my lovely dave got me a glass fusing kit. Since I’ve been making jewellery one of the things I’ve really wanted to do is make my own beads. This doesn’t quite do that, but it is a great starting point and this weekend we had a go…
I’ve made my very own pendant, and it is beautiful! I’m really pleased with it, and once I get the hang if it properly it’s going to take my jewellery making to a whole new level! I’m so excited and very grateful to my lovely dave.
It’s all done in the microwave and is really quite clever. The fusing itself doesn’t take long, thr most time consuming bit is waiting for it to anneal, it’s like cooking yorkshire puddings, you mustn’t open the door during that process!
And now, the reveal! Somewhere in this blog entry should be a picture of my first pendant!

Uncategorized Apparently I caused Dad a sleepless night after my last blogging session!! I guess he was just concerned I was ill! But, as I’m on a roll, Dad, I apologise in advance if this causes another sleepless one .
So, today (this was actually written on thursday!) is definately what you would class as a good day! In order of good things (I’ll detail them in a sec):
1) great phonecall!
2) good appraisal
3) good meeting
4) decent driving lesson
These are the specifics of my good day! The best one though was number 1. Ladies and gentlemen, I have been asked to give a presentation, to a whole bunch of social media people from various companies, talking about my job and the things I’ve achieved! I’m going to be presenting to around 60 people. The thing is, I know it’s not as crazy exciting as I’m making it out to be, but this is a massive achievement for me. It will be the biggest ever audience I’ve presented too and I’ve been asked because I’m bloody good at my job. I’ve been popping with excitement all day. I feel so damned proud of myself!
The others are less earth shattering for me. But all in all I think today’s been great. My boss is pleased with my work and I’m doing good things. I met with a supplier I’ve been talking with for months and I think we had a good meeting and then driving tonight I really feel like I’m making progress!
So anyway, enough gushing! I have shopping to order, tv to watch and chocolate to nibble.

personal I am seriously rubbish at this blogging malarkey. You’d think or someone who worked in the industry I do I’d be better. But alas, apparently this is another thing I start and forget to continue with!!
It’s so weird, it’s not that I think I have all these profound thoughts that should be written about for all the world to see, but I do feel that blogging is something i should do more of.
But no more empty promises of more blogging, or more interesting blogs, I’ll just keep trying!
So, an update in the world of me!
I survived the first week back after thr Christmas break. Woohoo. Go me! I love Christmas time, and had an extra lovely time this year and it made going back even harder.
I passed my theory test just before Christmas. In theory I’m allowed to drive! I also had a driving lesson on snowy ground. I’ve never been more scared in all my life, but it was actually not the worst lesson I’ve had. I was rather proud of myself actually!
I’m back on the eating healthy/not buying lunch/walking to and from work thing I do periodically. But I feel pretty good for it. Partly, I’m doing these things because I need to be healthy, partly it’s possibly the best way to get through January without going into my ovedraft.
I’m in the middle of waiting for something. I can’t go into huge detail, it’s worky stuff, so as you guys know, I do need to be careful with what gets said online, as soon as I can say anything I will.
Erm… I can’t really think of anything else for now, but will try again soon. I promise.

Uncategorized It’s funny, I’ve had the wordpress app on my phone for a while, but as yet have failed to blog from the bus. Tweets I do them, but blogs? Not so much!
My bus is quite friendly. Some of the drivers are grumpy sods, but as a general rule the people who get on are quite lovely.
I know I should walk to and from work, but to be honest, I’m too bloody lazy!! It takes just as long, whether I walk or get on the bus. I know that I won’t drive in when I’ve learned, but will I stop bussing? I dunno. The thing is, I also quite enjoy walking, once I get going, it’s just the getting going is a problem!!

Uncategorized So once again I start my blog with an apology!! Maybe I should tag things apology.
Anyway, so I’ve been away a while. I have a wordpress app on my iPhone and yet I still manage to forget blogging on a pretty much daily basis. Let’s see if things can get better.
What have I been upto I hear you cry? Well, where to begin? Did I tell you I have a new job? I think I did. Anyway I’ve been doing that a while, surfing stuff, website stuff and a bit of creative stuff as well. I went to London a couple of weeks ago for the harnessing the power of Twitter conference. It was a truly inspiring day!! I learned loads, met great people and now just want to work in Twitter! Anyone looking?!?! I’m not kidding!
I’ve rejoined weight watchers. I’m determined to shift the weight and keep it off. I’m making baby steps, losing it slowly but steadily. I have no idea what my ultimate weight target is, although dress size wise, I’d like to be a uk 16. It’s a way off yet.
In the last few months we’ve celebrated mums 50th birthday, met some great new people and Dave and I are about to celebrate 6 years together. It’s amazing, and I’m feeling like a very lucky girl right now.
My jewellery making obsession has got crazier… I’m going to have a stall at a fête on 1st august. I’m scared and excited and hoping people buy some of my jewellery. I also have to make a shed loads more!!
There has been a lot of change at work, but luckily I got out before all of the major upheavals, for which I’m grateful. It’s sad to see old friends leaving, but at least they are happy.
I’m stuck now, but I think that’s a pretty comprehensive update. Maybe I’ll write some more later in the week. Or find some pictures to share!

personal Before I start, I guess I should apologise for leaving you all in the lurch about the job thing… I still can’t give any more details, but will do as soon as is humanly possible. For anyone that knows me in real life, they will understand quite how bloody difficult keeping a secret is!
In other news… I have decided to be a pampered chef consultant! I love their products, have been to about 4 parties and held 2 of my own. So, when the announcements were made and our friend suggested I could do this as a way to supplement my income I thought quite seriously – I’m aiming to use the money I earn to pay for driving lessons!
So i’m very very excited! I have my training tonight, and I have my first party next week – Tuesday night. So if anyone is in the Norwich area and fancies a party… I’m your gal!

personal So, update on the job front.. Application in process for one of the jobs I have primacy for and interview next Thursday for total change of department.
I’m sorry I can’t be more specific, this whole blogging thing is difficult especially with added crypticness. (it is also difficult writing it on my phone without my glasses on, but that’s another story!)
So at the moment I’ll be glad to get to the end of next week!!
Other stuff, going back to mum and dads this weekend, it’s always nice to catch up! Sam is having a Bon voyage party for her friend, so we are going to show our faces!
I finished my first of 100 books this week too, harvest by tess gerritsen. Only 99 to go!
