I have been asked to blog more frequently, so here I am, trying to blog more!
Its been a bit crazy the last week or so, and sadly not in a crazy good way. Some stuff is going on at work. As part of a restructure, at the moment, my job isn’t carrying on. This doesn’t necessarily mean redundancy, but it is a possiblity. I’m scared, and angry and trying to get my head round all of this stuff and make big decisions.
Other than that, things are going well, Dave and I have both just celebrated birthdays, his in a much less drunken manner than mine! I have to tell you, 10 bacardi jelly shots (I’m not allowed vodka, it makes me cry!) makes for an interesting evening!
I’ve been missing people lots recently. I miss my fambly, and I miss my friends. I want to reach out and grab people as much as possible, but that could get me arrested! No, seriously, I’m acutely aware of the distances between myself and other people at the moment… Tom, Sarah – when are you coming to visit!?!?
I’ve updated my 101 a bit, a few more things going on now, nearly finished my first book of 100, although, thinking I might change it to 101 books, in keeping with the theme!
Well, I think this constitutes a blog entry, I’ll write more when I can, and keep you updated on the J O B situation.

I’m very excited and really enjoying it already.
I’ve just found myself reading through old emails.
Particularly ones between myself and a guy I knew at school/sixth form. That isn’t the right thing to say, he was my friend, and at one point I would have referred to him as my best friend. I think we are still friends, in that we still email, he is on my facebook friends list, I email his wife. I’d like to think we are still friends, but following on from my post a few weeks ago I don’t want to take that for granted. So how do I find out? Do I ask him outright? Do I just leave it and assume we are? Do I send him a link to this blog and hope he answers the question himself?
I like that idea…

2008 has come in to land with a bit of a bump – nothing serious, or so bad it overshadows the lovely christmas I had. But enough to stick in my mind. I’m noticing as I grow up that I’m shedding friends. I don’t like it. This new year is one example of that happening.
I moved away to Uni a good few years ago, but my parents and school friends are all still back in the Shire. I go back regularly, and until recently managed to meet up with people. But the last few months its getting harder and harder to still see people and I’m getting sick of fighting a losing battle. I’m tired of being left out, of feeling so cut off from them.
So I’m going to try and not worry. I’ve got some beautiful friends here in the Wich. I’m going to see the New Year in wth CBB and her fella, my baby sis and the ever fabulous D, as well as J and H. These are people I can rely on. I need to remember that.
So 2009, a new year, what plans have I?
